Hello, I’m Mari Carmen, the founder of The Melon Explorer.
Twelve years ago, I moved from Spain to Hamburg, not knowing that this city would become so much more than a new home, it would be the place where I built my family, found my rhythm, and created something that holds all of my heart.
As a mother, I discovered a world full of wonder and meaning. It quietly shapes every choice I make, fuels my creativity, and inspired me to begin this journey. Each product I create carries a piece of the moments I share with my children: laughing together, exploring outdoors, or simply enjoying the little joys of everyday life, a feeling I hold dear, or a memory I wish to preserve forever.
That’s why I founded The Melon Explorer: born from a simple wish to create meaningful, functional pieces that celebrate the beauty of simplicity. We focus on doing more with less, slowing down, savoring the present, and designing products that feel just right for families who live with curiosity, joy, and purpose. Each creation reflects our commitment to the essentials, inviting connection with everyday moments in a mindful and meaningful way.
But above all, we believe in the power of nature to shape childhood. We want to inspire children to play freely outdoors, to feel the grass under their feet, climb trees, get muddy, collect stones, talk to bugs, chase the wind, and discover the little wonders that nature offers.
